LogBI-More than just data
Industrial software developers
Overview
LogBI® is an API-ready expert software platform for industrial process efficiency monitoring, proactive maintenance and event analysis. LogBI's end-users employ its analytical capabilities and sophisticated reporting engine to improve production capacity, reduce costs, and increase efficiency, quality and reliability of their plants/businesses.
Incorporate LogBI as a component into the software you develop, be it SCADA/HMI, BI/ERP, or a niche solution tailored for a certain industrial process or a specific industrial machinery type, to add the analytical and reporting layer you need. LogBI will increase the value of your software by combining our expertise with yours, and without requiring you to deviate from your business' core competency
Main Features
LogBI is a complete system for machinery efficiency monitoring, proactive maintenance and event analysis. It offers:
Automatic, efficient and optimized machine data collection
Industrial-oriented enhanced analytical capabilities.
Charting and reporting engine with superior creation mechanisms and sophisticated interactive viewing options.
Automatic and on-demand report generation and distribution.
Client-server architecture for on-line and off-line use.
Office-2007 look-and-feel with many enhanced GUI features.
OEM capabilities through API.
Built-in security system and admin-panel.
Fully managed .Net assemblies.
Analyze Machine Data
LogBI collects and analyzes machine-generated data to create a layer describing the machine's process, throughput, operational state, usage, and so on.
Data is collected from all facets industrial operations. It may include:
Machine events.
Production counts (Total/good/scrap).
Machine operational states.
Events generated by internal machinecomponents and gauges.
Manually-reported machine-operator information.
Machine parameters, production recipes, machine-parts serial numbers.
Product IDs and tracking information.
The LogBI-Collect Module engine is optimized for speed and large amounts of data. It performs sophisticated preprocessing to avoid collecting any unnecessary information, and translates raw data into meaningful information used later by charts and reports.
Values for your customers
Your customers will use LogBI to analyze the production and process data of their factories and businesses.
They can use this information to:
Improve performance and overall plant capacity.
Reduce maintenance costs, production costs, and overhead costs.
Improve plant efficiency and reliability.
Improve production quality.
Prevent production losses and equipment deterioration.
Reduce maintenance time and extend overhaul intervals.
Pre-configured reports
LogBI includes a predefined set of reports:
Production
Performance
Throughput
Uptime
Event Summary/Details
Machine State History
Charts and Reports
Charts can be plotted from machine-generated data either online (from a client station reading data from the server), or offline (near a machine at the plant floor). Charts employ sophisticated analytics, and can present trend-lines, data-gaps, fluctuation and excursion analyses. Charts employ sophisticated analytics, and can present trend-lines, data-gaps, fluctuation and excursion analyses.
When used interactively with filters and enhanced viewing options, the charts present bottom-line, actionable results fast and accurately. This information can be used either by technical staff, to solve immediate problems, or by managers, to carry out off-line, on-going, plant-optimization activities. Charts, and anything else viewable in the application, can be assembled into "reports".
A "print-manager wizard" saves time by creating "report templates" which can be saved and later executed without reentering filters and parameters. Custom parameter sets can be created and applied to any report template. The following can be configured in a parameter set:
Time filtering (date range, relative time, shift, period-types, named time filters)
Grouping
Sorting
Top-N Pareto filtering
Dictionaries
An administrator may be appointed to keep all report structures in sync with all application users. The admin may also define, save and distribute report templates and filter-sets.
Technology
The LogBI architecture is client-server based: a frontend desktop application (rich client) communicates with a back-end engine composed of different servers (application, database and web) to perform the analytic processing, store and retrieve data, and track distribution and usage of reports, templates, filters, etc'.
LogBI composes of only fully-managed .NET assemblies (framework 2.0/3.0) and is interoperable with any .NET language. The system's robust infrastructure and advanced API allow fast and easy integration with other software products or bi-directional interoperability.
The system uses SQL Server to store the collected data, both on a local SQL Express 2005 instance for offline usage and on a main database server.
A Windows service on the server controls periodic tasks such as report generation, data collection and custom tasks.
A Web services collection on the server provides accesses to the analyzed data used for displaying reports.
LogBI - More than just data
LogBI platform provides the means to convert huge amount of meaningless data into actionable reports, customized to fit all users, from decision makers to machine operators.
The robust infrastructure enables adding new features specifically designed for yours and your clients' needs.
